The 45.4-metre explorer yacht Prometej, originally built at Șantierul Naval Galați in 1956 as an Arctic icebreaker, is now on the market. Once a robust research vessel, Prometej has been reborn as a refined luxury explorer, thanks to a visionary transformation by Italian fashion designer Alberta Ferretti.

Following two major refits — the latest completed between 2024 and 2025 at Adris Docks in Croatia — Prometej emerges as a stunning blend of strength and sophistication. Fresh from an expedition in Greenland, the yacht is now offered in immaculate, turnkey condition.
Her interiors, designed by Water Line, feature warm beige and cream tones that create a serene, elegant ambiance. The main saloon’s dual sofa arrangement and entertainment wall provide a perfect balance of comfort and style, while her seven-stateroom layout accommodates up to 12 guests in refined luxury. The full-beam master suite includes a private walk-in closet, and up to nine crew are housed in well-designed quarters.
Outdoor spaces offer equal allure: a spacious sundeck for lounging, a gym fitted with the latest Technogym equipment, and a wellness area with a steam bath and massage room. Adventure seekers will appreciate her Williams 520 Jet Tender, Zodiac MK V Milpro, and an array of water toys.
Powered by twin Mitsubishi engines, Prometej cruises comfortably at 10.5 knots with a top speed of 13.5 knots — a fitting balance of endurance and elegance.
Once an icebreaker, now an icon of rebirth, Prometej stands as proof that true explorers never lose their spirit — they simply evolve.
