The 101-metre Feadship superyacht Moonrise, formerly known under the project name 1013, has officially arrived at Feadship’s Amsterdam shipyard for the final outfitting stage. The imposing vessel marks one of the largest launches of 2025 and is expected to be delivered this July.

This latest Moonrise follows in the wake of her 99.9-metre namesake delivered in 2020, and while she shares several stylistic hallmarks, the 101-metre edition incorporates a wave of technological innovation and design evolution that redefines modern yachting.

Sleek Evolution with Subtle Power

Designed in collaboration with Studio De Voogt, the yacht sports a clean and commanding profile—highlighted by a powerful vertical bow and a signature blend of snow-white and soft grey paintwork. French designer Rémi Tessier returns once more for the interiors, promising a contemporary and elegant onboard experience tailored for a new generation of superyacht living.

Design Meets Technology

One of the most notable advancements on this new Moonrise is the complete removal of traditional domes for VSAT and TVRO antennas. In a Feadship first, Starlink satellite receivers are fully integrated into the superstructure. This not only enhances streaming and communication capabilities but also contributes to the yacht’s ultra-clean silhouette.

Other enhancements include a taller mast, a dramatically expanded sundeck fitted with a massage room, gym, and hair salon, and a redesigned swim platform for seamless access to the sea. Guests will also enjoy a private cinema on the bridge deck and an exclusive owner’s deck for added privacy and comfort.

A Focus on Silence and Performance

Feadship has placed significant emphasis on noise mitigation throughout the vessel. Moonrise features specially engineered propellers and underwater appendages to minimize acoustic disruption. In another industry first, she is equipped with a fully resilient-mounted anchor winch foundation, designed to reduce onboard vibration and optimize chain routing for a quieter, smoother experience both above and below deck.

Outfitting Underway

After making her public debut during her water launch at Feadship’s Zwijnenburg facility in October 2023, Moonrise transitioned to the builder’s Makkum site for early outfitting before arriving in Amsterdam. While many specifications remain under wraps, glimpses of the vessel reveal a generous aft deck space likely housing a superyacht pool, and multiple shell doors hint at extensive tender and toy storage, including side-loading and bow garages.

A Busy Season for Feadship

With Moonrise now undergoing final outfitting, Feadship is entering a bustling season. The yard recently completed the sea trials of the 79.9-metre Faith and continues to work on a string of major projects, solidifying its position at the forefront of cutting-edge yacht construction.

As Moonrise prepares for her sea trials and eventual delivery, all eyes are on Feadship as it continues to push the boundaries of custom yacht building—combining innovation, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
